What's not to complain about a 12 day cruise through New Zealand stopping at 6 ports! We are currently booked in a standard stateroom with a tiny porthole to poke our heads through. Having a balcony to enjoy the sea breeze with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine will make our time at sea that much more enjoyable!
The museum covers artifacts from the Maori people of New Zealand. We first learned about the Maori tribe when we fell in love with the movie Whale Rider. We look forward to diving into the history of this beautiful culture.
Auckland, New Zealand
We spend three nights in Cairns, Australia, which is home to the Great Barrier Reef. Here there are endless water activities to enjoy such as snorkeling, kayaking, and island hopping, to name a few. Sophia has been dying to get her hands on a snorkel so she can swim with the fishes! Help her find Nemo!
Cairns QLD, Australia
One does not simply travel to Middle Earth without visiting Hobbiton! We are so very excited for this one as Lord of the Rings is one of Giancarlo's favorite movies of all time!
Hobbiton Movie Set Buckland Road, Hinuera, Matamata, New Zealand
We couldn't visit a country with an immense amount of volcanic activity without visiting one of it's thermal pools. Also, Sophia is a bonafide Volcano nerd!
Rotorua, New Zealand
"Lord of the Rings" and "The Hobbit" movie set props are displayed in this museum, including life size models of Smeagol, Gandalf, and giant trolls! This is Giancarlo's dream come true. Sophia just hopes not to be buried alive by smeagol souvenirs.
Wellington, New Zealand
So much more than just the Outback, Australia has incredible biodiversity, tropical rainforests, the Great Barrier Reef, and beautiful national parks. Being such outdoor junkies, we can't wait to explore!
Blue Mountains National Park NSW, Australia
Luminescent light can be seen radiating from thousands of glowworms, named Archnocampa luminosa, which are unique to New Zealand. A tour guided boat ride will take us through the cave to witness this spectacle that is among a must-see for travellers visiting New Zealand.
Waitomo, New Zealand
Aren't they the cutest!!! This family owned and operated conservation effort gives you the chance to see penguins in their natural habitat. We couldn't resist.
Akaroa, New Zealand
Kangaroos, Koalas, Wallabies, Wombats, Tasmanian Devils, Platypi! Home to the weirdest animals in the world, we look forward to exploring one of Australia's best zoos!
Sydney NSW, Australia
The girls from TLC had no idea what they were talking about! Atherton Tablelands has some waterfalls worth chasing, AND if we're lucky, it is one of the few places to find a platypus in the wild! PLATYPUS!
Atherton Tablelands, QLD, Australia
We love our share of water, but being surrounded by the ocean, it will be nice to have some coffee or orange juice with breakfast, some afternoon tea, or a carbonated beverage with dinner!
These sunken ships created a barrier for smaller ships to pass through in 1963 off the coast of Australia. Now it's an eerie and mysterious home for sea life! A tour takes us to the wrecks and lets us snorkel through. Maybe we'll find treasure!
Tangalooma Wrecks, Queensland, Australia
There are two things New Zealand is best known for. Lord of the Rings, and KIWIs! Hopefully we can find one!
ZEALANDIA Ecosanctuary, Karori, Wellington, New Zealand
Unsure of what to gift? Feel free to contribute to the general fund of our adventure! (That's a picture of our pups, Berto and Beowulf. We love them and will miss them on our honeymoon.)
